ScoopDragon Publishing publishes the now 50 strong network of news sites, with the network having been launched in 2004 with Gooner News – the original source for Arsenal News for “Gooners” everywhere, closely followed by Walk On and then by Chelsea News. The simple formula and the level of innovation (news aggregation was basically unheard of in 2004, something that we forget now) proved an instant hit with the punters and they kept coming back for more. Having worked intimately with the former owners – Affinity Media (publishers of the slick video platform WorldTV and other excellent casual gaming sites) over the past six years with much of their project work focused on the development and growth of the network from 3 sites to 45 sites, it seemed a natural progression to take a more significant role in the news sites and so it has proved, with Irish based company ScoopDragon Publishing Limited acquiring the news site network. ScoopDragon Publishing uses a proprietary software and other software and systems which run automatically every two minutes to generate and publish internet news websites on certain topics or subjects with links to related “scoops” (news headlines) from all around the internet world. The ScoopDragon Network has since grown to 50 websites covering sports, leisure, education, health and entertainment attracting 3 million+ visitors a month and featuring news stories from more than 1,000 publishers including the BBC, talkSPORT, ESPN, Daily Mail, The Guardian, FootyLatest and FootballFanCast.com. Website publishers can benefit in a serious way by having their stories aggregated on our sites.
